HOW TO BURN FAT FASTER? (Without Dieting)

Why do some people eat a lot but never gain weight? ‘Metabolism’ is the reason why they can eat everything without gaining weight, while others eat less and still gain weight.

WHAT IS METABOLISM?
Metabolism is the process by which food is broken down to release energy. Your metabolic rate reflects how much energy your body requires to carry out its basic functions like breathing, eating, sleeping, digesting food and more.

If your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is high, you burn more calories, even while resting.

Your metabolism is determined by multiple factors, including genetics, age, gender, thyroid problems and hormone levels. Women have a slower metabolism than men because women naturally have a higher body fat percentage.

LIFESTYLE RELATED REASONS FOR SLOW METABOLISM:
– Lack of exercise
– Low muscle mass
– Irregular eating habits
– Eating too much fat
– Crash dieting
– Protein deficiency
– Too much alcohol
– Stress and lack of sleep

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR METABOLISM?
‘Increasing the metabolism’ is the holy grail of weight watchers. It is a quick, safe, healthy, natural and effective way to permanent fat loss. Here’s how you can do it:

(1) Start Weight Training

– BMR is much higher in people with more muscle.
– The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn even when you are at rest.
– Every pound of muscle uses about 6 calories a day, just to sustain itself, while each pound of fat burns only 2 calories.
– So start lifting weights and build muscles in order to improve your metabolism.

(2) Add HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) to Weight Training

– Do 30 minutes Run-Walk workout: Walk for 2 minutes then run for 1 minute. Keep doing this for 30 minutes.
– Some other HIIT activities are sprint intervals, treadmill intervals, kick boxing, jump rope, resistance sprints, football and tennis.
– HIIT burns more calories in short period of time and improves your BMR.

(3) Eat Every 2-3 Hours

– Each time you eat, you stimulate your metabolism for a short period of time, which means that the more often you eat, the more you will increase your metabolism.
– Eating small meals every 2 to 3 hours feeds muscle and burns fat.
– Frequent eating doesn’t mean eating junk food.
– Make each mini-meal complete with a serving of vegetables and a healthy source of protein.

(4) Eat More Protein

– Include healthy sources of protein in your meals such as lentils (Indian dal), whey protein, spinach (palak), chickpeas (channa), kidney beans (rajma), broccoli, cheese, paneer, soybeans, yogurt, milk, lean beef, turkey, fish and egg whites.
– It helps you build muscles.

(5) Eat Metabolism Boosters

– Eat a tablespoon of chili and pepper in your food to increase your metabolism.
– Add ginger in food to speed up the body’s digestion process.
– Have a green tea 3-5 times a day. It can burn up to 80 extra calories without any effort.

WHAT YOU SHOULD AVOID?

(1) Crash Dieting

The worst thing you can do to your metabolism is ‘starve yourself’. Although crash diets may help you lose weight, but you will lose muscles mass as well. The lower your muscle mass, the slower your metabolism.

(2) Late Night Eating

When you sleep, your metabolism slows down because your body doesn’t need energy. It turns any unneeded food into fat.

(3) Too much cardio

It will actually burn your muscle tissues. A better way to boost metabolism through exercise is to start a strength-training routine along with cardio.

Whether you call it a beer belly, a spare tire, or a muffin top, excess belly fat increases your chances of developing heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic dysfunctions. As your waist to hip ratio increases, hormones in your body like testosterone, insulin, leptin, and ghrelin go through a series of negative changes, creating a vicious cycle that makes it easier for you to store fat, and harder for you to lose it, and when your waist starts getting bigger than your hips the medical issues start becoming more and more of an inevitable reality. On top of the health issues having a gut just doesn’t make us look or feel all that great. But the good news is that just by making a few simple changes you can quickly drop belly fat, reduce the size of your waist, and turn this whole situation around. Now usually the first thing that beginners think of doing is to try targeting the area with crunches and situps. And the truth is that it’s very unlikely that you’ll be able to burn the fat directly from your stomach with exercise. For example, in one study only one leg was trained for 12 weeks while the other leg was not and there was no noticeable difference in fat loss between the two legs. (1) In another study, only one arm was trained for 12 weeks but there was no major difference in the amount of fat lost from one arm when compared to the other. (2) And when looking specifically at training the abs, the studies still show that performing abdominal exercises won’t actually help you spot reduce the fat that’s covering those abs up. (3) Now there was one very interesting recent anomaly study that did show otherwise and it found that participants that trained only their lower bodies experienced far more fat loss from their lower body, while other participants that only trained their upper body lost more fat from their upper body. (4) The researchers concluded that for the potential possibility of spot reduction working you need 3 things. Number one is high-intensity exercise, so for the abs that would be training them with heavyweights. This would be done to help release and mobilize the fat stores. But just because the fat stores are mobilized doesn’t mean that the fat will actually be used for fuel and if it’s not burnt through a process known as lipolysis the fat will return right back to where it originally was, so Number two, would be to follow up immediately with some kind of workout that burns a lot of calories like cardio or full-body interval training. And finally, the third condition is that you’ll have to maintain an overall calorie deficit. Now even though some of you may want to give this a try… there’s still no guarantee that you would burn more fat specifically from your belly because we need more studies to support these results. The majority of evidence still suggests that spot reduction is a myth and that overall body fat reduction that’s achieved mostly by following a good diet is the best way to lose belly fat so the first evidence-based tip is to shift your attention to burning fat by improving your diet rather than concentrating on burning the fat with exercise. Now as soon as I say that you need to have a good diet the first question that pops into everyone’s mind is what’s the best diet that’ll make me eat less and help me get rid of this gut, is it low carb or low fat? Nowadays most people assume that cutting carbs is the way to go. And the truth is low carb diets do have some unique advantages. Just by going on a low carb diet you’ll probably automatically put your body into a caloric deficit, but on a low-fat diet, you’ll most likely have to still track your calories to make sure. Another advantage is that some studies show that low carb dieting is more effective at reducing appetite and hunger than low-fat dieting(5)  Low carb diets will also quickly lower insulin levels which is important for fat loss because insulin stimulates the production and storage of fat and it prevents your body from burning previously stored fat. (6) But, even with all of these supposed advantages, the true determining factor that makes a diet plan efficient is if the person on the plan can….

1.Start eating breakfast. Some teens think skipping breakfast is a quick way to shed pounds. However, eating breakfast will jump start your metabolism and prevent overeating during the day. Chose a meal that has protein for staying power, such as an egg white omelette with mozzarella cheese, fruit and milk. High-fiber foods, such as whole wheat toast or whole wheat cereal are also good options.

2 Watching your drinks Too many sodas, juices and sports drinks can really add up. Replace them with water. You should have at least 8 glasses of water a day! Water rinses out unwanted toxins from your body and keeps your brain sharp. It keeps you hydrated.

3.Filling up on fruits and veggies Most fruits and vegetables are high in fiber and nutrients while low in calories. That means you’ll fill up faster and eat less. Try having fruit as snacks or before meals to cut calories without feeling hungry.

4.Avoid fast food There’s nothing wrong with having an occasional burger and fries, but avoid having those types of foods every day. Make them a treat that you only have every now and then.

5.Avoiding mindless snacking If you get hungry in the afternoon, keep your snacks healthy by avoiding candy, cookies, and other tempting sweets. Also, pay attention to other reasons you may eat, like being bored, tired, or feeling blue. Emotional eating only makes things worse and doesn’t make your problems go away.
