So, breastfeeding and losing weight is another very popular topic. Because, everyone wants to get back into their old jeans.

They’ve been in maternity clothes for nine months. They’re tired of them. And, you see your jeans hanging in your closet with that small waist. And you are hankering to get back into them.

So, breastfeeding and losing weight. Most weight is going to come off very quickly while you’re breastfeeding because your body is burning 500 calories.

There are programs, like Weight Watchers does have a nursing program, that will keep your calorie count up, in order to sustain that.

If you diet dramatically and you start to see a very, very quick weight loss, your milk supply is going to take a severe hit. So, you do not want to have very, very rapid and drastic weight loss while you’re breastfeeding.

So, if anything, just eat well. At the six week mark, once your doctor has given you the go-ahead, start to exercise again. All of that is absolutely fine. Your weight will come off.

But, no severe dieting. And, yes, it’s fine to workout heavily when you’re breastfeeding. You’re going to need a good bra that’s going to hold you in. But, the baby is not going to reject the breast when you come back from a run.

All I would recommend is wiping down the sweat off of the breast. Because that can cause them to turn away. Has nothing to do with any kind of build up of anything. It doesn’t sour your milk, which I have heard many times as well.

And, everything should be fine. Your weight will come off very gradually. And you will probably hold on to a good five to seven pounds of fluid until the baby’s completely weaned.

But, go for it. Eat well. No drastic weight loss. And exercise. And you will start to shed pounds.

– Drink 2 glasses of water with lemon in the morning to wake your body up, hydrate your empty stomach, and boost metabolism.
– Whether you find this ridiculous or not, smelling foods like bananas or apples before mealtime will ease your hunger, making you eat less than you would have otherwise. This technique is scientifically proven by Dr. Alan Hirsch, a neurologist and director of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago.
– This might sound absurd considering how much vanilla goes into different cakes, muffins, and puddings. But one study found that the vanilla scent works wonders when you’re trying to lose weight. It activates different chemical reactions in the brain, making you feel less hungry.
– When you’re trying to get the best shot to share on your social networking page, you can’t help but notice the details of your food. And this is perfect since it might make you stop for a second and rethink what you’re about to eat.
– If you surround yourself with the color blue, like putting up blue wallpaper or eating from blue plates, you’ll lose weight much faster. A study found that the color blue is an appetite suppressant, which means it’ll help you feel less hungry.
– It’s been proven time after time that having eggs for breakfast helps achieve faster weight loss. Not only are eggs low in calories, they’re also really filling and hold you off for a longer time.
– Try doing 10 pushups for every potato in your dinner or run up and down the stairs 5 times for every time you enjoy a candy bar.
– Yes, you can lose weight by sleeping, and it’s actually pretty easy. The trick here is that if your body is surrounded by cold, it produces more heat to warm you up, which helps you burn calories.
– It’s been proven that if it takes you longer to eat and you consume your food slowly, you’ll have an easier time losing weight.
– A glass of wine a day can help you lose weight faster. Just don’t overdo it, since the same study found that people who drank more than 2 glasses of wine daily struggled more when dieting versus those who didn’t drink at all or had just one or 2 glasses.

SUMMARY
-When you follow the ketogenic diet, it becomes easier for your system to get access to your fat stores and burn them off. As a result, you lose weight incredibly fast.
-There are actually a few versions you can choose from depending on your preferences: standard ketogenic diet, cyclical ketogenic diet, targeted ketogenic diet, high-protein ketogenic diet.
-You should base the majority of your meals around these foods and ingredients: meat, fatty fish, pastured or omega-3 whole eggs, grass-fed butter and cream, unprocessed cheese, nuts and seeds, healthy oils, low-carb vegetables, healthy herbs and spices.
-As for the foods you should avoid under any circumstances, they are: sugary foods, fruits, grains or starches, beans or legumes, root vegetables and tubers, products labelled “low-fat” or “diet”, unhealthy fat, alcohol.
-Use this 7-day ketogenic meal plan as a model to build your own plan. The good news is that you can have coffee, cupcakes, bacon, sausage and other things you probably love as long as you balance it all up.
-The biggest side effect is keto flu, the symptoms of which include poor energy and mental function, increased hunger, sleep issues, nausea, and digestive discomfort.
-This diet can decrease the risk of developing heart disease by stabilizing blood sugar and blood pressure levels as well as increasing the “good cholesterol” in your blood.
